Surah 105- Al fil
Im not completely sure about this one. I think its speaking about people of the elephant, could b the hindus. And what they endure believing in something false like that. A swarm, maybe of locust was sent to them and destroyed them. This shows Allahs power.
Surah 104-Al humazah
This Surah talks about material things. These things will not take you in to heaven faster or easier, or will it go with you in the afterlife, heaven or hell. Being greedy and materialistic will only condemn you further in the depth of Allah's wrath.
Surah 103-al asr
Here it says that most people are lost or stray from their righterous beliefs or actions byt he afternoon. Not muslims, because they pray 5 times a day, Allah is always ont heir mind and so they do not stray, or try not to stray from doing right.
Surah 102-Al takaathur
Material blessings are going to be question on judgement day, because its humanistic blessings that will grant your peace in the afterlife. People make thier lives goals, money, success, and riches within the materialistic world, but if they could see the hell they will encounter,t hey maynot continue in their actions.
Surah 101-al qaare'ah
To be light, here, thik it means withot burdens, or things on thier mind. Not caring what they do, they live life to their means. Whose wieght is heavy, are those who are thinking about life and how tolive it right. Always trying to be righteous. They will continue on to heaven. The light weighted will continue into hell.

The 99 names of Allah describe every part of what God is. Every name is an adjective, a part of Allahs personality, if you will, that shows your mercy, love, sympathy,fear..etc.

Surah Al-Feel:
I believe that this surah is showing the wrath of God on those who wish to inflict harm on to Muslims. The people of the elephant refers to the elephant army which came from Yemen under the command of Abrahah Al-Ashram intending to destroy the Ka'bah at Makkah. Allah (swt) took care of his people, and they didnt have to even fight, fore the army was dealt with on th road to makkah.
Surah Al-Humazah:
This surah speaks of the matieral aspects of peoples lives in which they dwell and enjoy, but dont realize that these things go so far, until we die, and then none of that matters. People who dwell on these matieral things, and who stray from the righteous path are doomed to spend eternity being tortured in the fires of hell.
Surah Al-Asr:
This surah is basically saying that men have lost the truth, they have enveloped themselves into a world of wrong, except those that are committing good deeds, who pray, who abstain from evil deeds. Belief in monotheism is also stressed somewhat in this surah. All these things combined make up a person on the right path.
Surah Al-Takaathur
This surah clearly states the fact that people are verily going into the path of hell. Again stressing the point that though matieral things are enjoyable hear in the hereafter they are of no use. And for the people who have chosen this path if they saw the torture that awaits them, they would not be so keen to stay on their current path. The day of judgement has also been mentioned as "the day" on this day people will be asked to give an account of all their indulgences.
Surah Al-Quari'ah:
This surah outlines the occurences of the day of ressurection where all good and bad deeds will be weighed. Those who have a balance of good deeds, and good deeds are easy to come by. A good deed will be counted if you pick up a stick from the road so as to stop sum1 from falling. These people will proceed to paradise. But those who have no good deeds, rather a heavey balance of evil deeds will go straight to "the pit"

The 99 names of Allah (swt), as cherish said, are adjectives, they are the names by which Allah (swt) is known. They are naming His attributes, and all 99 names bring you closer to Him. Among his most used names are the most merciful and most beneficial, these two names are perhaps best known because those to traits are the best to be able to be comfortable with.

Surah 105- This surah discusses what happpened when "the elephant" as mentioned in the surah tried to ruin Mecca. It states that Allah caused there plans to go unaccordingly, and helped save the people.

Surah 104- This surah talks about the negativity of being "rich" and "having it all." The rich believe that their money will grant them the "ticket to heaven." Little do they see that with money comes greed, and greed will place them further away from God and heaven.

Surah 103- This surah clearly states that every person is in some way away from their beliefs, except for those who do believe. Those who pray, perform good deeds, and follow their beliefs are not.

Surah 102- This surah reminds us that everything else in the world has distracted us from a world of right. We have been entangled into so much wrong that we don't see the right.

Surah 101- This surah says that anyone who performs good deeds, little or big will be granted heaven. Those who have many bad deeds will go straight to "the pit", the person will realize this by the scorching fire awaiting them.

In Surah 105: The Elephant we read how Allah dealt with the “Elephant.” Allah eventually made sure that the plan of the owners of the Elephant. I can only speculate as to what the “Elephant” is. Perhaps, the elephant was an idol or is symbolic of some greater evil. Allah eventually shows His supremacy and comes through by bringing an end to the Elephant and its owners.

In Surah 104: The Gossipmonger we read of a bad man who bashes the name of God. He also keeps onto his money. “He reckons that his money will make him immortal.” In the Surah, we read that this is an awful way to live and to act; God is higher than money and God is higher than gossip. Allah will eventually prove Himself to those sinners.

In Surah 103: The Eventide we learn what actions are most important in Islam. When eventide comes (which I’m guessing is some kind of catastrophic event), people will be at a loss. People will be at a loss “except for those who believe, perform honorable deeds, encourage Truth, and recommend patience.” This is what it takes to be saved, this is what it takes to be a good Muslim, and this is what it takes to be a good person.

In Surah 102: Competition we read how people compete over the most vain things in life. This rings true today; people compete over everything- jobs, money, grades, etc. The Surah seems to say, how can you compete over something that has no absolute certainty? The only absolute certainty is that those who are doing the competing so vainly will be the ones sent to hell on Judgment Day.

In Surah 101: The Stunning (Blow) we read about the end. The Surah asks people if they think they know what the end will be like? “Mankind will act like scattered moths, and the mountains seem like tufts of yarn!. . .What will make you realize what this will be like?” It seems that people are too self-consumed to realize that the end will be upon them; they are too self-consumed to realize that they might be acting in treacherous ways and not focusing on God and or love.

These five Surahs reveal to us what will happen on the Day of Judgement and how Allah will judge people on their good and bad deeds. It does not matter how much wealth or worldly gains one possesses, but matters only if one has been true to Allah.
The 99 names of Allah are all His attributes or descriptions. In pertaining to the 5 Surahs we see a few of these attributes; that of His Mercy and Compassion to those who are good, and His Anger to those who sin against Him. Through all the 99 names we come closer in our understanding of Allah.

Surah 105-Al Fil
Didn't you see what your God did to the owners of the Elephant. Didn't he cause their plan to back fire on them, and then sent flocks of birds that droped rocks from the hell fire on them. And let them look like an eaten up corps.

surah 104-Al Humazeh
The people who talk behind others backs should watch out. That gathered their money and counted it. They also think that their money will save them. Anyway he will be thrown into the burning flames. And how would you know about the burning flames. The fire of God that is always burning. That crawls up on ones vitals. That will be all over them. In stretched columns.

Surah 103-Eventide
By evening. Mankind will be in loss. except for the ones who believed and did good deeds and told others to be honest and have patience.

Surah 102-Competition
Be ware of having too much kids. Until you visit your graves. Anyway you will know and then you will really know. Nevertheless if you knew the knowledge of certainty. You will then see the hell fire. Then you will see you are certainly going there. Then you will be asked about bliss at the day of judgement.

Surah 101-The Stunning
The knockout. What is the knockout. And how would you know what the knockout is. The day that the people will be like the butterflys that are all over the place. And the mountains like spread yarn. The ones who's good deeds outweigh their sins. Then they will have a great life. But the ones who's sins outwiegh the good deeds then they will have a most miserable life. And how whould you know what that is. A burning fire.

Surah Al-Fil discusses an event that was previous to the Rasul (S)'s birth. Before the birth of Rasul (S) and event took place in Mekkah where the the king Abraha decided to destroy the Kabah. The story is quite interesting because Abu Mutalib (Rasul (S)'s uncle) told Abraha do as you wish trusting that Allah swt would take care of his house. Once again reflecting the essences of Tawheed. At the time birds did come throw rocks at the army and the elephants did move. Basically, Abrahas plan backfired and Allah swt's house was saved.

Surah Al-Humazah discusses the evil of the people who think wealth can save them forever. Many people think without money they will not be happy, but in actuality you can be living on the best island in Aruba and have the most money but if ur sick ur trip is ruined. Basically, my point was having weath is nothing and people take it to far. Also, this Surah warns people who are liars and backbiters for those people will guarantee there place in the hellfire. And then it goes on to describe the feeling of fire sorrounding them from each angle.
Al-Asr is actually a Surah that they say if only this surah was sent down it woud be enough for mankind. This surah is important because it talks about the importance of this world to establishing good. If you dont establish do the good deeds surely all of mankind is at loss. This surah is soo deep because it always talks about finding the truth and being patient. These are all qualities that are essential for mankind.
Surah Takathur is a very deep surah as well. When I first read it over after many years I really put my life into perspective. It was like an eman rush. It talks about people who are never satified and they keep asking and asking and they do anything to get those things that they desire. Those are the people that are never satisified intil they enter the grave. Allah swt says in this Surah that they shall come to know soon. Its scary because it talks about how on the day of judgment then they will know and then they will truly belive but at the point it will be to late and they will questioned with what good they did in this world.

Al Fil
It speaks to the people who tried to destroy Kabah with the elephants. It talks about how all their plans ruined when they tried to cast down the God's house.

Al Huaza
it speaks about,as Cherish and Dr. Umar said,"material things". When that day comes none of the property will save us or the gossips we made to decry others.

Al Asr
It talks about that most people are in loss and they stray from the right path to God. Those who believe, who don't stray from God's path and do good deeds will be reached eternal happiness.

Al Takaathur
This Surah talks about if they would only have known hell, they wouldn't act the way they acted. All the things put a curtain on our eyes that we cannot see deep inside. We cannot see what the real peace and happiness are.
Al Quari'ah
This Surah means something knocking on the door. SOmething knocks our door and it is the day of judgment. It says do you know what is it that comes to you? On that day, everybody's all deeds, bad or good, will be questioned and weighed. It is the day that we'll be ready to be judged either for heaven or for fire.
All these five Surah reveals us about the Judgement day. Whatever Our good and bad deeds are they'll be weighed.

Sura 101 seems to refer to the final judgment of all men. Those whose good deeds are many will earn paradise and the others with few good deeds will reap the fires of hell 'mothered'to them in the pit.
Sura 102 points out the dangers and evils of competition or wealth. It is again apocalyptic in nature as it affirms "with certainty" the sad fate of one who chooses the riches of this world.
Sura 103 continues the idea that making the things of this world one's priority is wrong. We must accept the truth, shown to us over time and spread it to others.
The Sura entitled the gossipmonger further reinforces the need to be wary of 'things' of this world. We think that rich possessions can make us secure forever, but God will condemn us to the 'bonecrusher.' ( another great metaphor by the English translator for a really unpleasant result!)
The final sura, the Elephant, is a little confusing but it apparently refers to a battle between Muhammad's forces and an enemy using an elephant in his army. The victory for the Prophet with God's aid is glorified.

Sura Fil or Elephant.

This early Meccan sura refers to an event thathappened in the year of the birth of our holy prophet, say about 570 A.D Yaman was then under the rule of the Abyssinan governor or viceroy.Intoxicated with power and fured by religious fanaticism, he led a big expedition against Mecca, intending to destory the Ka'ba. He had an elephant elephants in his train. But his sacrlegious intentions were defeated by a miracle. No defence was offered by the custodians of the Ka'ba as the army was too strong for them but it was believed that a shower of stones thrown by flocks of birds, destroyed the invading army almost to a man. The stones produced sores and pustules on the skin , which spread like a pestilence.

Sura Humaza, or the Scandal-Monger

This Meccan sura condemns all sorts of scandal, backbiting, and selfish hoarding of wealth, as destroying the hearts and affections of men.

Asr, or Time through the Ages.

This early Meccan Sura refers to the testimony of Time througt the Ages. All history shows that Evil came end. But Time is alaways in favour of those who have Faith, live clean and pure lives, and know how to wait, in patience and constancy.

Sura Takathur, or Piling Up.

This probably early Meccan Sura gives a warning against acquistiveness, the passion for piling up quantities or numbers, whether in the good things of this world, or in man-power or in other forms of megalomania, which leave no time or opportunity for pursuing the higher things of life.

Sura Al-qariq, or The Day of Noise and Clamour.

This Meccan Sura describes the Judgment day as the of Clamour, when men will be distracted and the landmarks of this world will be lost, but every deed will be weighed in a just balance, and find its real value and setting.

Allah's 99 names.

I belive that there is one and only God, and his names is Allah.
the rest of 98 names are the adjective. They are discribing how good and merciful he his.

105 Al Fil (The Elephant)

This event had occurred the same year Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) was born. About two months before his birth, a governor named Abram Ashram wanted to destroy the Kabbah (Black Stone). His army had used elephants to attack Makkah with the goal of destroying the Kabbah. When he arrived to Makkah, the people were scared and had nothing to use as defense against the elephants let alone the army. Therefore they fled the scene as they could not protect the Kabbah. When the elephants moved closer to the Kabah they stopped and bowed on their knees. The army of Abram could not get the elephants to march towards the Kabbah. Allah then sent flights of birds each of them holding black stones of very hot clay that were dropped on the army killing them all. I think Allah is trying to tell us that no matter how much we try to plan something, Allah’s will always prevails. If Allah wills it not to happen, it will NOT happen.

104 AL Humaza (Scandel-Monger)

In this Surah, Allah is talking about those who insult their people. They are sarcastic towards their people in a negative way, backstab each other and gossip towards one another. He also tells of those who have money, and do not give it to those who need it: They pile up wealth and think that the money will make them “immortal”. Allah is pretty much saying that they will end up in hell and they will be surrounded by the vault of the hell fire. It is a lesson for people to avoid such acts, and to use the wealth you have obtained in a good way (as money is a blessing from Allah) as ways to avoid hell and enter paradise.

103 Al – Asr (Time through the Ages)

Allah is swearing by the one thing that people can never get back: time. For Him to swear by ‘time’ shows how important time must be. He is telling us that we should use our time wisely. Allah is also telling us not to get too attached to the materialistic things in life. Those who are attached are at a loss. Those who have faith and do good deeds and tell the truth and have patience are not at a loss. Patience here is important, as there are so many evil temptations that are bad for faith. In order to have good faith one must also be very patient.

102 At- Takathur (Piling Up)

I think Allah is warning us about getting carried away in this world. He is pretty much telling us to beware of some of the good things in this world because some will lead us astray. He is talking about the fun things in life that are pointless and keep you away from doing well in this life. We will be so busy having fun that we wont have time to do good in this life. But when you die and you are in your grave you will know the reality of life. In other words, playing X box or watching too much television, in your grave you will realize that all that time you have did not help you and will not help you on the Day of Judgment. Allah is saying that if you only knew how much trouble you could get into, you would beware. He is telling us that we will be judged on everything we do. What we see, hear, touch, and our actions will all be judged.

101 Quri’a (The Last Clamour)

This surah is about the Day of Judgment. It is the day when the mountains will crumble to ashes, when all the tall buildings that humans have built will be destroyed. Everything will be turned into ashes. People will flee in fear and not know where to go because the truth is, there is nowhere to go. You cannot escape death. It is the day when our deeds will be counted and we will be judged to enter either heaven or hell.

Surat Al Fil
I agree with Doc Umar here. This surah does portray the wrath of ALlah SWT. It creates a picture of the many things that He is capable of doing for whatever reason He may please. This surah is actually an incident that took place. Well, I wouldnt call it an incident when it was already well intended by the Elephant Army from Yemen. Under the command of Abrahah Al Ashram, the intent was solely to destroy the Kabah. Allah SWT protected the Muslims (as been stated) and protected them from harm or any sort.

Surat Al Humazah
This surah definitely touches on the material parts of life which will get everyone no where. Money will not get anyone into heaven and lies get everyone no where as well. What we have in this life we leave behind taking along with us nothing but the good that weve done and the credit that we have racked up for ourselves in the name of God.

Surat Al Asr
Time is of essence. Using that wisely for good things is a precious aspect to life which in turn only benefits the individual. This surah acknowledges the fact that man is astraying with the exception of those who do in the path of Allah SWT who protect one another from harm, encourage one another to do more in the path of Allah etc.

Surat At Takathur
The desire for worldly pleasure and material things does bring us to nothing but mutal rivalry. This surah briefly tells us of where we can end up if this was to remain our "attitude". Basically tells us to remember death and then to think twice about doing anything because every action is accountable for.

Surat Al Qariah
This surah talks about the Day of Judgement, how will we know when it happens and what will happen to the people and the world around us.

The 99 names of ALlah SWT are adjectives as to what the Lord is. They are many names to which He can be referred to as.

Surah 105-(Al Fil)
This surah surely was meant to shake the true believer in Allah(supana wa taella)... This surah tells about a man Abrahah Al-Ashram (the governor of Yemen) who's plan was to build a place of worship that would replace the Ka'bah in Mecca. He wanted to build it in the capital of Yemen with the intention to divert trade from Mecca to Yemen!!! So he thought he would be able to destroy the house of Allah with ease but Allah is the Al-mighty and the Al-powerful! IN the end his army was hit by little stones that made their skin burst into pieces and Al-Ashram died on the way back to Yemen bursting into pieces himself, because like Nabiha said" NO ONE CAN CHANGE ALLAH'S WILL NO MATTER WHAT!!! IF HE SAYS IT WONT HAPPEN, IT WILL NEVER TAKE PLACE! thats the main message of this surah!
Surah 104-(Al-Humazah)
The focus point of this surah is to show how much Allah(swt) dislikes people who backbite and people who dont appreciate the provisions that he has provided for that person. This surah is also a message to believers, not to become greedy with their wealth and to share it with the needy because if not then they shall feel the crushing fire!!
Surah 103-(Al'-Asr)
The main point of this surah is to show how by the Asr time people will have deviated from ALLAH's Law and will forget about ALLAH!!! It teaches people to have strong faith and always remember about Allah by doing righteous deeds and saying the truth and inspiring others to do good deeds as well. In the end be righteous and pious and try to do good deeds.
Surah 102-(At-Takathur)
This surah is basically saying that the wanting to indulge in rich things diverts people from AllaH! but this desire dies when the person dies! And if the person would know the end result, which is death, and that they will keep none of their properties when they die and be burned for piling up on their wordly things, then they would stop piling up?!?! Also ALLAH says that when a person is in his/her grave they will see their spot in paradise or in hell and thus he says "You shall come to know"!!! And in the day of Judgement Allah will ask everyone about their delights that he has blessed us with! So appreciate and use everything wisely!
Surah 101-(Al-Qari'-ah)
This surah is to officially establish and acknowledge the day of Judgement! To also explain what is going to happen that day and to mention that for monotheistic believers their good deeds will be wieghed and if it wieghs more than their bad then they will enter paradise if not then they will enter hell until their bad sins are paid for with Allah's mercy! This day the persons body parts will confess to doing bad deeds!!
